NextEra Energy and Google Announce Major Partnership to Boost AI Data Centers and Clean Energy Infrastructure
NextEra Energy has expanded its partnership with Google Cloud to develop large-scale data center capacity and energy infrastructure across the United States. The companies aim to support the rapid growth of artificial intelligence (AI) by building new data centers powered by sustainable energy.
As part of the partnership, NextEra will construct 15 gigawatts of power generation for U.S. data center hubs by 2035. This includes the development of three major data center campuses with Google in the U.S. The efforts focus on scaling both data center operations and clean energy solutions.
