Nvidia and SK Hynix Announce Multi-Year AI Memory Partnership
Nvidia and South Korea’s SK Hynix said they have agreed to a multi-year technology partnership focused on next-generation memory for AI factories and data centers.
The companies said the collaboration will support Nvidia’s AI infrastructure roadmap and help expand supply as demand for AI systems grows.
Nvidia also said SK Telecom will build AI infrastructure using Nvidia-powered AI cloud capacity and DSX AI Factory architecture to support AI startups, robotics, and industrial physical AI.
In a separate announcement, Nvidia said South Korea’s Naver will use its technology to build gigawatt-scale AI factories to meet rising demand for AI services and physical AI.
Nvidia chief executive Jensen Huang said the shortage of memory for AI infrastructure could last for years.
They announced a multi-year technology partnership to develop next-generation memory for AI factories and data centers.
The companies said it should help support Nvidia’s AI infrastructure plans and increase supply for the fast-growing AI buildout.
Nvidia said SK Telecom and Naver are also working with its technology on AI infrastructure projects in South Korea.
