ADP Says U.S. Private Payrolls Rose by 109,000 in April as Pay Increased 4.4%
ADP said U.S. private sector employment increased by 109,000 jobs in April, according to its National Employment Report produced with the Stanford Digital Economy Lab. The report also said annual pay rose 4.4% year over year.
A separate note on the report said job growth was showing strength in healthcare and that some industries were starting to show “green shoots” after posting negative growth a year ago. It also described the April gain as coming from lower-paying work.
It showed that private sector employment increased by 109,000 jobs in April.
Annual pay was up 4.4% compared with a year earlier.
Healthcare was singled out as an area of obvious strength.
It said some industries were starting to show positive growth after a period of negative growth.
