Netflix Acquires Ben Affleck–Founded AI Filmmaking Company InterPositive

Netflix said on Thursday it has acquired InterPositive, a filmmaking technology company founded in 2022 by actor and filmmaker Ben Affleck. InterPositive develops artificial intelligence–powered tools intended for movie production and had been operating in stealth before the deal.
As part of the acquisition, InterPositive’s entire team will join Netflix, and Affleck will remain involved as a senior adviser. The announcement comes about one week after Netflix withdrew from the bidding for Warner Bros. Discovery.
Netflix did not disclose financial terms of the transaction in its announcement.

InterPositive builds AI-powered tools aimed at helping filmmakers with various parts of movie production.
