Apple unveils iPhone 17e as lower-cost model, available March 11 starting at $599
Apple announced the iPhone 17e, a lower-cost addition to the iPhone 17 family, positioned to help the company defend market share in a competitive handset market.
The iPhone 17e is powered by Apple’s latest A19 chip and includes C1X, a new Apple-designed cellular modem that the company says is up to twice as fast as the C1 modem used in the iPhone 16e.
Photography and video features include a 48MP Fusion camera capable of next-generation portraits and support for 4K Dolby Vision video.
Apple set the starting price at $599 for a model with 256 gigabytes of storage, and the phone becomes available on March 11.
