Silver Mines Ltd
Glance View
Silver Mines Ltd is an Australian mineral exploration and development company focused on silver. It looks for silver-bearing deposits, studies whether they can be mined profitably, and moves its projects through drilling, permitting, and mine planning. Its main asset is the Bowdens Silver Project in New South Wales, along with other exploration interests in Australia. The company does not sell household products or mining equipment. Its business is to own mineral projects and spend capital on exploration and project development, aiming to turn those deposits into mines. If a project reaches production, Silver Mines would make money by selling silver, along with any by-products such as gold or base metals that come out of the ore. What makes Silver Mines different from a typical industrial company is that its value comes from the ground itself and the technical work needed to prove up a mine. Customers are not end users but the future buyers of mined metal, usually refiners, metal traders, and industrial users reached through the broader commodity market. Until a mine is built and operating, the company’s main job is to create and advance assets that could become future sources of silver supply.
