African Pioneer Plc is engaged in the acquisition of mining assets in Africa. The Company’s principal business is to explore opportunities within the natural resources sector in Sub-Saharan Africa, with a focus on base and precious metals, including but not limited to copper, nickel, lead and zinc. The Company’s projects and operations include Kalahari Copper Belt, Limpopo Mobile Belt, Ongombo, Ongeama, Central African Copperbelt and Zambezi Mobile Belt Copper & Gold. The company has acquired a 100% interest in six prospecting licenses in the Kalahari Belt, which covers approximately 1,945.8 square kilometers (km2), as well as two in the Limpopo Mobile Belt, which covers 854 km2. The Ongombo project covers approximately 202 km2 of the highly prospective Matchless Copper Belt and located approximately 20 kilometers (km) from the Otjihase mine. The Chumbwe license 27769 HQ-LEL covers approximately 436 km2 is located 70 km southeast of the capital Lusaka.
