Stereotaxis, Inc. designs, manufactures and markets robotic magnetic navigation systems for use in a hospital's interventional surgical suite to enhance the treatment of arrhythmias and coronary artery disease. The company is headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri and currently employs 130 full-time employees. The company went IPO on 2004-08-12. Its primary products include the Genesis RMN System, the Odyssey Solution, and other related devices. The firm also offers to its customers the Stereotaxis Imaging Model S X-ray System and other accessory devices. The Genesis RMN System is designed to enable physicians to complete complex interventional procedures by providing image-guided delivery of catheters through the blood vessels and chambers of the heart to treatment sites. The Odyssey Solution consolidates lab information onto an integrated display, enabling physicians to view and control all the key information in the operating room.

What is Insider Trading?

Insider trading refers to the buying or selling of a company’s stock by individuals with access to non-public, material information about the company.

While legal insider trading occurs when insiders follow disclosure rules, illegal insider trading involves trading based on confidential information and is prohibited by law.

Why is Insider Trading Important?

It isn't a coincidence that corporate executives seem to always buy at the right times. After all, they have access to every bit of company information you could ever want.

However, the fact that company executives have unique insights doesn't mean that individual investors are always left in the dark. Insider trading data is out there for all who want to use it.

Peter Lynch

Insiders might sell their shares for any number of reasons, but they buy them for only one: they think the price will rise.
