Elbit Systems Ltd
Elbit Systems makes military electronics and defense equipment. It designs and builds products such as command-and-control systems, drones, sensors, avionics, night-vision gear, and communications equipment. It also provides maintenance, upgrades, training, and support services for these systems. Its main customers are national militaries, defense ministries, and other government security agencies, mostly in Israel but also in many other countries. Elbit earns money by selling equipment upfront and by signing long-term service, support, and modernization contracts. That mix gives it both product sales and recurring service revenue. What makes Elbit’s business different is that it sits in the middle of the defense supply chain as a specialist electronics and systems provider. It often upgrades existing platforms rather than building the whole aircraft, vehicle, or ship itself. That makes it a key supplier for customers that want to extend the life and capability of their military hardware.

Revenue: First-quarter revenue rose 15.5% year over year to $2.189 billion, with management saying this was the first quarter revenue was higher than the prior fourth quarter, signaling strong demand across key markets.
Margins: Gross margin and operating margin both improved, helped by scale and mix. Non-GAAP operating margin topped 10% for the quarter, in line with internal targets.
Backlog: Backlog hit a new record of $30.2 billion, and management said the order funnel is the strongest it has ever been, with Europe standing out as a major growth engine.
Orders: Elbit highlighted more than $4 billion in new business and contract awards in the quarter, including a roughly $1.4 billion European modernization contract announced this morning.
Outlook: Management kept to its message of no formal guidance, but reiterated an internal target of around mid-teens revenue growth this year and said it sees the same pace next year.
Investing: The company is stepping up spending on R&D, AI, CapEx, automation and acquisitions to meet demand, while saying supply chain and labor are not currently major bottlenecks.
