Strong EBITDA Growth: Adjusted EBITDA excluding severance payments rose to €44 million, up from €17 million last year, driven by improved performance across all business lines.
Cash Generation: Cash generation (excluding one-offs) reached €50 million, €16 million higher than last year, supported by operational improvements and working capital management.
Digital Subscribers: Edtech subscriptions grew by 38% to nearly 2.5 million; digital-only EL PAÍS subscribers increased 55% to over 156,000.
Debt & Liquidity: Net financial debt reduced to €723 million; liquidity remains strong with €216 million cash and €99 million in undrawn facilities. Debt maturities extended with recent refinancing.
Media Outperformance: PRISA Media achieved strong advertising growth (11%), especially in America, and maintained leadership in Spanish radio and press audiences.
Education Rebound: Santillana saw a 57% revenue increase and margin improvement, driven by school reopenings and a shift to digital subscriptions.
Guidance Cautious: Management remains prudent due to macro uncertainty, inflation, and geopolitical risks, keeping guidance unchanged for the rest of the year.
