ETBs use a genetically engineered version of the Shiga-like Toxin A subunit (SLTA), a ribosome inactivating bacterial protein. The firm is developing ETBs for various targets, including CD20, CD38, HER2, and PD-L1. CD20 is central to B cell malignancies and is clinically validated as a target for the treatment of lymphomas and autoimmune disease. CD38 has been validated as a clinical target in the treatment of multiple myeloma. HER2 is clinically validated as a target for the treatment of solid tumors including breast and gastric cancer. PD-L1 is central to immune checkpoint pathways and is a target expressed in a variety of solid tumor cancers.
