Record Results: POCL delivered its strongest-ever quarterly and half-yearly performance, with record revenue, EBITDA, PAT, and margins driven by operational efficiency and growth in lead and copper volumes.
Margin Expansion: EBITDA margin crossed the 8% mark, with gross margins at a record high of 14.5% this quarter; management expects to sustain EBITDA margins above 8% going forward.
Capacity Growth: Phase 1 of lead expansion at Thervoy Kandigai is running at 50%-55% utilization; Phase 2 is set for commissioning in H2 FY '26, and copper capacity will ramp to 24,000 tons by FY '27.
Strong Value-Added Mix: Around 70% of lead segment revenue comes from value-added products, supporting higher margins; this mix is expected to continue.
Guidance Affirmed: Management reiterated guidance of 1.2 lakh tons of lead sales for FY '26 and about INR 400 crores copper revenue, with 70,000 tons of lead sales targeted in H2.
Balance Sheet Strength: The company is net debt-free and reported a net cash balance of INR 71 crores.
Lithium-Ion Entry: Commercial entry into lithium-ion battery recycling is planned for 2027, following ongoing R&D with ACE Green Recycling.
