Stable but Challenging Quarter: Q3 remained tough for the textile industry due to high raw material costs, currency volatility, and logistical issues, but Sutlej delivered stable results with operational improvement over Q2.
Profitability Focus: Margins and EBITDA improved sequentially and year-on-year, driven by cost optimization, employee rationalization, and operational efficiencies. Management expects further margin gains in Q4.
Revenue and Earnings: Total income was INR 640 crores, down 2% YoY; EBITDA rose over 200% YoY to INR 25 crores (4% margin), while PAT remained negative at INR -11 crores.
Strategic Shift: Sutlej is pivoting from commodity textiles to an integrated, value-added platform—emphasizing technical products, market diversification, and higher-margin home textiles.
Home Textiles Growth: This segment is now profitable and growing, with strong order visibility through Q1 next year and ambitions to double its contribution to total revenue.
Market and Product Diversification: New markets in the Far East and Africa have reduced export concentration risk, and the pipeline for Southeast Asia and Latin America is active.
Outlook: Management guides for continued sequential improvement, expects Q4 to be stronger, and sees long-term transformation toward a more resilient, higher-margin business.
