Transformation: Management said the company made meaningful progress over the last 18 months, reshaping Skillsoft around an AI-native skills platform and cutting gross costs by about $45 million, with roughly half reinvested into go-to-market and AI product work.
FY26 outcome: Even with a difficult macro and geopolitical backdrop, Skillsoft said it delivered on its structural goals in fiscal 2026: cost reduction, margin expansion and positive free cash flow.
AI traction: The new AI-native platform is starting to get customer adoption, with 15 paying customers already signed up, and management said AI engagement metrics rose sharply across completions and usage.
Guidance: Fiscal 2027 guidance for TDS implies modest revenue pressure overall, but management expects the enterprise business to keep improving while the consumer business remains a drag.
GK review: The strategic review of Global Knowledge is still underway, but management said Middle East disruption has slowed the process and that there is no assurance of a successful transaction.
Cash generation: Free cash flow stayed positive in the quarter and for the year, reinforcing management’s message that the business can fund its transition while still generating cash.
