Britannia Bulk Holdings, Inc. provides drybulk shipping and maritime logistics services in transporting drybulk commodities in and out of the Baltic region. As of March 31, 2008, Company-owned fleet consisted of 22 vessels, including 13 drybulk vessels, five of which are ice-class, five ocean-going ice-class barges, and four ice-class tugs. To complement its owned fleet, the Company charters-in a number of vessels. At March 31, 2008, the number of chartered-in drybulk vessels under its control was 45, 11 of which were ice-class. The Company’s managed drybulk vessels serve a variety of ports and carry multiple cargoes, while its tug and barge vessels provide the ability for its to serve ports that are too small or otherwise unable to accommodate drybulk vessels.
