Metro Holdings Ltd. engages in the management and operation of retail and department stores. The firm is engaged in the business of management and property investment. The principal activities of the Company and its subsidiaries are those of management and holding companies, retailers and department store operators, property investment and developers. The firm operates through two segments: Property and Retail. The Property segment is involved in the leasing of shopping and office spaces owned by the Company and investing in property-related investments. The Retail segment is involved in the business of retailing and operating of departmental stores. The company has interests in approximately 564,000 square meters of retail and office investment properties in gateway cities in the People's Republic of China (PRC), such as Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Chengdu, as well as Singapore, London and Australia. The company has about two stores in Singapore under its flagship brands, such as Metro Paragon and Metro Causeway Point, Woodlands.
