Record quarter: Semtech reported record quarterly revenue of $291 million, up 6% sequentially and up 16% year over year, with adjusted diluted EPS of $0.51, up 34% year over year.
Data center strength: Data center revenue hit a record $71.6 million, driven by strong demand for 800-gig products and early traction in 1.6T, LPO, LRO, CopperEdge and HieFo-related photonics.
Guidance raised: Second-quarter revenue guidance is $328 million, plus or minus $5 million, with adjusted EPS guided to $0.61, plus or minus $0.02.
Margins improved: Q1 adjusted gross margin was 53%, and management expects 54% in Q2 as mix from data center and LoRa continues to improve.
Backlog and capacity: Management said bookings and backlog are very strong and that the company is expanding capacity with foundry and OSAT partners to support future demand.
