Linde PLC
Glance View

Linde plc is one of the world’s largest industrial gas companies. It makes and supplies gases such as oxygen, nitrogen, argon, hydrogen, and helium, along with the equipment needed to store, move, and use them safely. Its gases are sold in different ways: through on-site plants built at customer facilities, by pipeline in some industrial areas, and in cylinders or liquid tank deliveries for smaller users. Its main customers are factories, hospitals, food processors, metal makers, chemical plants, electronics producers, and energy companies. These customers use Linde’s gases for tasks like welding and cutting metal, cooling and preserving products, treating patients, making chips, and supporting chemical and hydrogen processes. Linde earns money by charging for gas supply, delivery, plant operations, equipment, and related service contracts. What makes Linde’s business unusual is that it sits deep inside its customers’ day-to-day operations. Many buyers rely on long-term supply setups and infrastructure that Linde builds, owns, or runs for them, which makes the relationship hard to replace. That gives the company a steady, utility-like role in industry rather than a one-time product sale.
