Base Resources Ltd. engages in the exploration and development of mineral properties. The company is headquartered in Perth, Western Australia. The company went IPO on 2008-10-02. The firm is focused on the Kwale Mineral Sands Operation in Kenya and the development of the Toliara Project in Madagascar. The firm's Kwale Operations is located approximately 50 kilometers south of Mombasa and 10 kilometers inland from the Kenyan coast. Its Kwale Operation features a high-grade ore body with a high-value mineral assemblage, rich in rutile. The firm's fully owned Toliara Project is based on the Ranobe deposit, located approximately 45 kilometers north of the town of Toliara, and 15 kilometers inland from the coast in southwest Madagascar. The firm's operations are designed to process ore to recover three separate products: ilmenite, rutile and zircon.
