Petra Energy Bhd.is an investment holding company, which engages in the provision of brownfield services for the upstream oil and gas industry. The company is headquartered in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. The company went IPO on 2007-07-26. The principal activities of the Company are provision of integrated brownfield services for the upstream oil and gas industry. The firm has three segments: Services, Marine Assets, and Development & Production. The Services segment provides hook-up commissioning, topside major maintenance, vessel management and time chartering, fabrication, subsea and underwater, as well as trading and engineering services. The Marine Assets segment comprises subsidiaries which own the Company’s marine assets and hold licenses to carry on leasing business. The segment’s major business activity is bareboat chartering of vessels internally within the Company and to third party vessel management companies. The Development & Production segment covers the Company’s business activities in the rejuvenation of brownfields, as well as small and marginal field development and production.
