Revenue Growth: PPHE reported first-half revenue up 4.7% to £199.9 million, supported by new and refurbished hotels.
EBITDA Decline: EBITDA fell 5.7% to £45.5 million, mainly due to the ramp-up of new properties and increased payroll costs, but cost control efforts limited wage inflation.
Occupancy Gains: Occupancy increased by 180 bps to 72.4%, offsetting some average room rate declines.
Dividend Maintained: An interim dividend of 17p per share was proposed, the same as last year.
Pipeline Progress: Five new hotels opened across five capital cities in two years, with recent openings in Rome and London Hoxton still stabilizing.
Outlook Stable: Full-year EBITDA for 2025 is expected to be broadly in line with 2024, with new hotels targeted to add at least £25 million EBITDA upon stabilization.
Cost Efficiency: Significant efficiency gains achieved through AI adoption and back-office automation, with more tech upgrades planned.
External Headwinds: Management remains cautious about rising costs and potential VAT increases in the Netherlands in 2026.
