Revenue: Full-year 2025 revenue was $185.3 million, down 2% YoY; Q4 revenue was $56.5 million, up 1% YoY.
Profitability: Adjusted EBITDA for full-year 2025 improved to $8.8 million (up 61% YoY); Q4 adjusted EBITDA was $12.0 million.
Studio/IP: Studio revenue nearly tripled to $16.1 million for the year and drove a 56% YoY increase in Q4 content revenue as two feature films were recognized in Q4.
Commerce weakness: Commerce and affiliate revenue declined (full year and Q4) primarily because partners reduced supplemental bonuses, not because of weaker conversion or engagement.
Balance sheet / liquidity: Cash and restricted cash totaled approximately $27.7 million; total debt was $60.2 million. Management is exploring strategic options and withheld 2026 guidance.
Valuation / strategy: Management says BuzzFeed's parts (brands, studios, products) are worth materially more than the current market cap and is actively evaluating strategic alternatives to unlock value.
