Net investment income: Reported $0.20 per share ($2.7 million) in Q4, down from $0.22 in Q3 due primarily to margin pressure from higher interest on new unsecured notes and lower reference rates.
NAV decline: Net asset value fell to $9.19 per share from $10.17, largely driven by markdowns on a few nonperforming loans and $3.2 million of unrealized depreciation on CLO equity due to spread tightening.
Balance sheet actions: Extended debt maturities (earliest now 2028), reduced total debt by $18.8 million, repaid $31 million of 4.75% unsecured notes scheduled to 2026, and closed a new Natixis facility (up to $80 million) that replaces BNP financing.
Distribution: Quarterly distribution maintained at $0.17 per share (14.3% annualized yield on market price) for Q1 2026.
Credit position: Portfolio described as largely stable — one loan placed on nonaccrual (1.2% of fair value) and one returned to accrual (1.1% of fair value); after-quarter-end sale of a long-time nonaccrual produced a partial recovery.
Concentration/exit plan: Largest equity holding Pfanstiehl valued at ~$79.4 million; management is pursuing monetization but will time an exit to maximize value.
Yield pressure outlook: Management expects further net interest margin compression as Fed cuts reduce reference rates, since most loans are floating-rate.
