Chemours Q3 2023 Earnings Highlight Future Growth

In 2023, Chemours faced a tough year with a significant downturn in the latter half. The company tackled decreased Titanium Technologies (TT) volumes by implementing the TT Transformation Plan, aiming to rebound in 2024 with demand decline slowing down. Although the Advanced Performance Materials (APM) business witnessed some demand reduction, it still achieved an 11% growth in performance solutions. The Thermal & Specialized Solutions (TSS) business saw a record seventh consecutive quarterly increase in net sales. Transitioning into 2024, Chemours anticipates a revenue surge in Hydrofluoroolefins (HFOs) and continued adoption of Opteon products, backed by firm commitments from Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) focused on climate benefits. The TT business is expected to yield $15 million in cost savings in Q4 and improve earnings by $50 to $100 million next year.
