Target enterprises are those being in special situations, such as management buy-out and buy-in, changes in shareholders’ structure, succession financing, as well as coming through growth or expansion phase. The firm acts as an entrepreneurial partner in the long term. Operational activities are delegated to the independent advisor BV Partners AG. BV Holding AG and BV Partners AG form the BVgroup. As of December 31, 2011, its investment portfolio included nine companies: Covalys BioSciences AG, E2E Technologies Ltd., Lonstroff Holding AG, Piexon AG, POLYDATA AG, SKAN Holding AG, Sphinx Werkzeuge AG, Ypsomed Holding AG and Ziemer Group AG.
