Description

TEAR Corp. engages in the provision of funeral and ceremonial occasion services. The company is headquartered in Nagoya, Aichi-Ken and currently employs 575 full-time employees. The company went IPO on 2006-06-02. The firm operates through two business segments. The Funeral segment is in the operation of directly-managed funeral hall, under the name Funeral Hall Tear in Tokai, Kanto and Kansai. The company engages in implementation of funeral ceremonies at directly-managed funeral halls, individual homes and temples, as well as in the provision of Buddhist memorial services for end of mourning and anniversary of death after the funeral ceremonies. This segment also established a unique membership system under the name Tear’s Association. The Franchise segment provides Funeral Hall Tear business nationwide, signs a franchise agreement for business companies of different industries. The company is engaged in the provision of entrance know-how to the funeral service industry, development of properties, provision of operational guidance with supervisors, as well as sales of funeral incidental products.
