The company is headquartered in Chuo-Ku, Tokyo-To and currently employs 1,072 full-time employees. The company went IPO on 2013-10-01. The company operates through four business segments. The Chemicals segment is engaged in the manufacture and sale of industrial explosives, emergency safety flame tubes for automobiles, materials for fireworks, sodium chlorate, ammonium perchlorate, sodium chlorite, pesticides, electrodes, perchloric acid, and synthetic resin raw materials, organic conductive materials, and ionic conductive materials and abrasives, as well as the provision of hazard evaluation and battery tests. The Bottling segment handles the bottling processing and sales of soft drinks. The Industrial Component segment manufactures and sells silicon wafers for semiconductors, various heat-resistant refractories, and springs. The Engineering Services segment sells and paints industrial paints, and designs and supervises water and sewage and wastewater treatment facilities.
