Cancer vaccines: Management said Moderna and Merck’s positive Phase III data materially validated individualized neoantigen vaccines and, more broadly, cancer vaccines as a treatment class.
VB10.NEO: Nykode highlighted clinical immune responses across more than 10 tumor types, a reported link between immune response and overall survival, and a manufacturing process of less than 6 weeks.
Abili-T: The randomized Phase II trial of abi-suva plus pembrolizumab in first-line HPV16-positive head and neck cancer is enrolling as planned, with interim results still expected in 2027.
Partnerships: Management did not provide details on partner discussions, but said interest in individualized and off-the-shelf cancer vaccines should increase following the Moderna and Merck data.
Cash: Nykode ended the quarter with $44.8 million in cash and expects its runway to extend into 2028, or into 2029 if it wins the pending tax case.
Tax case: The company expects a draft recommendation from the Tax Appeal Board secretariat in August; a positive outcome would support the longer cash runway.
Pipeline: Nykode is advancing its autoimmune tolerance platform toward its first clinical development program and is exploring abi-suva in earlier-stage head and neck cancer.
