The firm's project, the Giro Gold Project, located approximately 35 kilometers west of Randgold/ Anglo Ashanti’s producing approximately 16 million-ounce Kibali Mine. The Giro Gold Project comprises two exploration permits covering a surface area of approximately 497 square kilometers and lies within the Kilo-Moto Belt of the DRC, an under-explored greenstone belt which hosts Randgold Resources’ 17 million-ounce Kibali group of deposits within 35 kilometers of Giro. The Giro Gold Project area is underlain by prospective volcano sedimentary lithologies in a similar structural and lithological setting as the Kibali gold deposits.
