EBITDA Growth: Underlying EBITDA for 1H FY26 was $55.4 million, up 9% vs the prior period, including three months of contribution from the new Fertilisers segment.
Bulk Stockfeeds Strength: Bulk Stockfeeds EBITDA rose 25% to $27.1 million, driven by strong volume growth in both ruminant (up 13%) and monogastric (up 7%) sales.
Ingredients Segment Weakness: Packaged and Ingredients EBITDA fell 28% to $25.6 million due to supply constraints, lower protein meal prices, and processing challenges, though management expects a second-half improvement.
Fertilisers Outperformance: The new Fertilisers segment delivered $10.3 million EBITDA, exceeding expectations despite it being the lowest seasonal demand quarter.
Net Debt and Leverage: Net debt reduced by $22.4 million with post-acquisition leverage at 0.8x, comfortably within covenant limits.
Dividend Increased: Interim dividend increased to $0.051 per share, fully franked, up from $0.0475 in the prior half.
Positive Outlook: Management expects group earnings growth in FY26, led by the fertiliser peak season, efficiency gains in Bulk Stockfeeds, processing improvements, and some commodity price recovery.
Cost Synergies: Fertiliser integration is progressing, with $8 million recurring cost savings targeted from FY27 after a one-off $3 million cost, and a system migration expected to add $7 million annual savings from 2027.
