Glencore is a global commodities company that mines and trades the raw materials used by industry. It produces copper, cobalt, zinc, nickel, iron ore, coal, and other resources, and it also buys, stores, moves, and resells many of these materials through its trading arm. Its business starts deep in the supply chain, where it pulls material out of the ground, and extends all the way to helping deliver those materials to factories, utilities, smelters, and other industrial users.
