Sales rebound: Corbion said organic sales rose 2.1% in the first half, but Q2 accelerated sharply to 8.5% as volume and mix improved.
Margin outlook: Adjusted EBITDA was EUR 88.8 million in H1, and management refined full-year EBITDA margin guidance to above 16% from around 17%.
Health & Nutrition: The segment showed a strong Q2 recovery, helped by double-digit volume mix growth in Nutrition and Biomaterials and a better omega-3 pricing environment starting in Q3.
Cost headwinds: Management said the main reason for the softer margin outlook was higher Middle East-related input costs, especially sulfuric acid, now estimated at EUR 15 million to EUR 20 million gross.
Cash flow: Free cash flow was negative EUR 4 million in H1, but the company kept full-year guidance at EUR 85 million to EUR 90 million and expects a stronger second half.
Strategic upside: Corbion highlighted strong demand for algae omega-3, renewed pricing momentum in PLA, and continued progress on the PLA divestment process.
