The firm designs and manufactures a variety of railcar types for transportation of bulk commodities and containerized freight products primarily in North America, including open top hoppers, covered hoppers, and gondolas along with intermodal and non-intermodal flat cars. The Company’s operations comprise two operating segments Manufacturing and Parts. The Company’s Manufacturing segment includes new railcar manufacturing, used railcar sales, railcar leasing and railcar rebuilds. The firm provides forged, cast and fabricated parts for all freight car types, including open top hoppers, covered hoppers, auto carriers, gondolas, intermodal flat cars and box cars. The firm develops products, such as coil covers, forged knuckles and electronic door openers.
