The property upon which the Rosebel Gold Mine is located covers an area of 170 square kilometers in north central Suriname. The property lies in the District of Brokopondo, between the Suriname River to the east and the Saramacca River to the west, approximately 80 kilometers south of the capital city of Paramaribo. The Rosebel Gold Mine is owned and operated by IAMGOLD Corporation.
