The company is headquartered in Calgary, Alberta and currently employs 19 full-time employees. The company went IPO on 2006-02-14. The firm's business activities include aggregate production, pit management services, sales from corporate-owned and third-party pits, acquisitions of sand and gravel operations, and new venture development. Its business units include AMI Aggregates, AMI Silica, and AMI RockChain. The AMI Aggregates division produces and sells aggregates out of its corporate pits and manages the Coffey Lake Public Pit on behalf of the Government of Alberta. AMI Silica division is positioning to become a supplier of domestic silica sand with regional deposits located in Alberta and North-East British Columbia. The AMI RockChain division is a midstream, technology-enabled business that deploys its RockChain digital platform, associated industry econometrics, supply-chain algorithms, quality-assurance and safety programs.
