Bear Creek Mining Corp. is an exploration company. The company is headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia and currently employs 40 full-time employees. The company went IPO on 2000-04-10. The Company’s flagship project, the Corani Project, is a silver-lead-zinc deposit located in the Andes Mountains, approximately 160 kilometers (km) southeast of Cusco, Peru. The Corani Project consists of 13 mineral concessions that form a contiguous block of ground covering approximately 5,500 hectares. The Corani project area is underlain by Tertiary age volcanic rocks of the Quenamari Formation, a thick series of crystal-lithic tuffs and andesite. The Corani deposit is described as a low to intermediate-sulfidation epithermal deposit with silver, lead and zinc mineralization. Its exploration project, Maria Jose Prospect, is located in the Department of Ancash, 140 km north northwest of Lima, Peru. Its projects also consist of Mercedes gold-silver Mine, which is located in Sonora, Mexico.
