Business Model Shift: Ai-Media has completed its transition from a human-interpreted service to a fully AI-native, annual recurring revenue (ARR) subscription platform, sunsetting the legacy services business at the end of December 2025.
ARR Growth: The company exited December with an ARR run rate of $30 million and targets $36 million ARR ($3 million per month) by June FY '26, up from $24 million the previous June.
SaaS Acceleration: SaaS revenue grew 61% on prior comparable period, driven by migration of services customers to LEXI products—not including LEXI Voice, which remains pre-revenue.
Hardware Model Change: Hardware revenue declined $4 million due to customers waiting for new AI-native encoders; the business is shifting hardware from upfront sales to a Hardware-as-a-Service (HaaS) subscription, with new launches slated for April 2026.
Margin Expansion: Technology revenue gross margins remain strong at 84%; professional services are being priced at 50% gross margin as part of the new commercial model.
Legacy Guidance Withdrawn: The company has withdrawn its previous FY '29 CEO aspirational targets and will now provide Board-approved, near-term guidance focused on ARR, ARR growth, ARR margin, and EBITDA expansion.
R&D Investment: $2.6 million was invested in pre-revenue product development in the half, including encoders, LEXI Voice, LEXI AI, and LEXI Recorded, with plans to increase R&D investment going forward.
Strong Cash Position: Cash balance increased to $16.7 million, with operating cash flow of $2.6 million and free cash flow of $2.4 million.
