Newmont Corporation is one of the world’s largest gold mining companies. It explores for mineral deposits, develops mines, and extracts gold from the ground, along with smaller amounts of copper, silver, lead, and zinc from some sites. Its products are sold into the metals market, where gold is bought by bullion dealers, refiners, investors, and industrial users, while other metals go mainly to smelters and refiners.
