Uber Technologies runs a two-sided marketplace that connects riders with drivers, food customers with couriers, and shippers with carriers. Its main products are the Uber ride-hailing app, Uber Eats for restaurant delivery and grocery delivery, and Uber Freight for matching trucking demand with available freight capacity. Customers use the apps to request a ride, order a meal or other goods, or find transportation for shipments.
Uber makes money mainly by taking a fee from each transaction that flows through its platform. Riders and delivery customers pay the listed fare or order total plus service fees and other charges, while drivers, couriers, restaurants, and freight carriers pay Uber indirectly through the marketplace structure. That means Uber does not usually own the cars, bikes, restaurants, or trucks involved; it earns money by organizing demand, routing jobs, and handling payment and logistics.
What makes Uber's business model different is that it sits in the middle of local transportation and delivery markets rather than building the physical fleet itself. Its software helps match supply and demand in real time, gives customers a simple way to book on demand, and gives independent drivers and couriers access to a large pool of jobs. In practice, Uber acts as a digital dispatcher and payments layer for everyday mobility, meals, and certain freight moves.

Stock intrinsic value is the real worth of a company's stock, based on its financial health and performance.
Instead of looking at the stock's current market price, which can change due to people's opinions and emotions, intrinsic value helps us understand if a stock is truly a good deal or not.
By focusing on the company's actual financial strength, like its earnings and debts, we can make better decisions about which stocks to buy and when.
