The firm has developed technology system that converts virtually any plant material into grasses, wood, paper, farm waste, yard waste, forestry products, fruit casings, nut shells. The company also developed the cellulosic portion of municipal solid waste into sugars and subsequently into biofuels without the use of enzymes or liquid acids. Blue Biofuels Cellulose to sugar (CTS) 2.0 is a mechanical-chemical process that converts enzymes in the conversion of cellulose into its components of sugar and lignin. The sugar is further converted into bioethanol and other biofuels. The CTS process is used in plastics, lactic acids, pharmaceuticals, industrial solvents and agricultural products to carbon fiber nanotubes, adhesives, construction additives and cosmetics.
