What is the Profitability Score?

The Profitability Score rates how profitable a company is on a scale from 0 to 100.

How it is calculated

The score combines the company’s margins, capital efficiency, revenue growth, free cash flow and other profitability metrics, such as ROE, ROIC and net margin. Each metric is normalized and weighted, and the result is one number from 0 to 100.

How to read the score

The higher the score, the more profitable the company is.

0–34 Weak profitability
35–74 Average profitability
75–100 Strong profitability

You can find the score on the Profitability tab of each stock, together with the checks behind it.
