The retail segment is the largest segment of the Company, and provides local, long- distance and data services to small and medium-sized businesses, principally in the northeast region of the United States. The residential segment offers bundled local and long-distance services to residential users, who are located primarily in areas supported by Covista's long-distance network facilities. The wholesale segment provides long-distance telecommunication services to other carriers for resale. The firm's products and services include a range of voice and data, including local, long-distance and toll-free services, calling cards, data, Internet access, directory assistance and teleconferencing services. In January 2008, the Company acquired GT3 Holdings Corporation and ClearEnd Corporation.
