Oracle and OpenAI Expand Stargate Data Center Project in the U.S.

Oracle and OpenAI have announced plans to develop an additional 4.5 gigawatts of data center capacity in the United States. This expansion is part of the Stargate venture, which also involves Softbank and aims to significantly increase AI infrastructure.

The Stargate project has pledged to invest up to $500 billion in AI-focused data centers across the country. While parts of the first Stargate data center in Texas are already operational, reports indicate the overall project has experienced some delays since its initial launch earlier this year.
