Revenue Growth: Kaveri Seed reported 16.94% revenue growth for the first nine months of FY26, reaching INR 1,221.56 crore.
Profitability: Net profit rose 4.9% to INR 308.91 crore for the nine-month period, while EBITDA grew by 10.35%.
Margin Pressure: Gross margins declined by around 400–500 basis points year-on-year in Q3 due to higher production costs in cotton, maize, and rice, with the company unable to fully pass these on to customers.
Export Momentum: Exports surged 86% in the quarter, with management expecting continued robust growth unless there are major disruptions.
Inventory Build-Up: The company’s cash position declined to INR 309 crore mainly due to increased inventory, which management expects to normalize in the coming quarters.
Product Expansion: Non-cotton hybrids, research paddy, sunflower, and mustard saw strong volume increases, with ongoing investments in R&D and new product launches expected to drive future growth.
Seed Bill Update: The new Seed Bill is expected to organize and strengthen the industry, with passage anticipated soon.
