Alibaba Enters AI Wearables Market with Launch of Quark Smart Glasses
Alibaba has launched its first AI-powered smart glasses, called Quark, in China. The company is entering the wearable technology market, which is currently led by global players such as Meta.
The new Quark smart glasses come in two models: the S1 and the G1. The S1 is the flagship model and is priced at 3,799 yuan (about $537), while the G1 is a lighter and more affordable option starting at 1,899 yuan (about $268).
Both models use Alibaba's own Qwen artificial intelligence technology and can connect to the Qwen app. The S1 glasses feature built-in translucent displays that show helpful information right in the user's field of view.
Sales of the Quark glasses have started in China through major online platforms such as Tmall, JD.com, and Douyin.
They are Alibaba's new wearable devices powered by artificial intelligence, designed to show information in front of your eyes using smart displays.
The S1 model costs about $537, and the G1 model starts at around $268.
Currently, they are available for sale in China on platforms like Tmall, JD.com, and Douyin.
They use Alibaba's Qwen AI technology and feature built-in displays that provide contextual information to the user.
