Atomera Inc
Atomera, Inc. engages in the development, commercializing, and licensing of proprietary processes and technologies for the semiconductor industry. The company is headquartered in Los Gatos, California and currently employs 19 full-time employees. The company went IPO on 2016-08-05. The firm is engaged in developing, commercializing, and licensing materials, processes and technologies for the semiconductor industry. The firm has developed Mears Silicon Technology (MST), which is a thin film of reengineered silicon, typically 100 to 300 angstroms (or approximately 20 to 60 silicon atomic unit cells) thick. MST are applied as a transistor channel enhancement to complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS)-type transistors. MST can be implemented using equipment already deployed in semiconductor manufacturing facilities and is complementary to other nano-scaling technologies already in the semiconductor industry roadmap. The firm's customers and partners include foundries, integrated device manufacturers, fabless semiconductor manufacturers, original equipment manufacturers, and electronic design automation companies.

STMicro Update: Atomera's collaboration with STMicroelectronics on their smart power platform ended without a path to royalty revenue after ST shifted focus to 300mm wafers and could not fit Atomera's new MST solution into their launch schedule.
Customer Pipeline: Despite the ST setback, Atomera reports active engagements across multiple major customers in power, Gate-All-Around, DRAM, and RF-SOI, with record wafer processing activity in the quarter.
Financials: Q3 net loss widened to $5.6 million from $4.6 million a year ago, with operating expenses rising due to higher R&D and stock compensation.
Revenue Outlook: Q4 NRE revenue expected between $75,000 and $125,000 from wafer shipments to multiple customers, with revenue recognition timed to shipment schedules.
Strategic Focus: Atomera is prioritizing MST starting wafer products for faster time to revenue, deepening OEM partnerships, advancing GaN progress, and maintaining fiscal discipline.
Leadership Hire: New VP of Sales Wei Na was brought in to accelerate licensing and sales conversions.
Funding & Cash: Ended Q3 with $20.3 million in cash; raised additional funds through share sales post-quarter.
