Nintendo Raises Switch 2 Sales and Earnings Forecasts Amid Strong Demand
Nintendo has increased its sales forecast for the Switch 2 console, expecting to sell 19 million units in the fiscal year ending March 2026. This is an increase from the previous estimate of 15 million units, as the company sees strong demand for its new product launched in June.
The Japanese gaming giant also raised its annual operating profit target by 16% to 370 billion yen (about $2.45 billion). Nintendo now expects its fiscal-year revenue to rise 93% and net profit to grow 25.5%.
These updates come as the Switch 2 sold more than 10 million units, boosting the company’s confidence as it heads into the important holiday season.
The Switch 2 is Nintendo's latest gaming console, which can be used both at home and on the go. It was launched in June.
Nintendo raised its forecasts because sales of the Switch 2 have been higher than expected, with over 10 million units sold so far.
Higher sales and profit forecasts suggest that Nintendo is doing well and expects strong business performance in the coming year.
